Wish I had been able to ask about when the Ares Collossus class mechs rules will arrive, given that he mentioned a tech plateau coming.

Good point Brian, I forgot about the new release of Operation Klondike. I was thinking that a book of the same quality as the CBT Total Warfare with the information and layout of the Forth Succession War NAIS The Fourth Succession War Military Atlas Volume 1 & 2.

I know those books are still very popular and still sell for a lot in the after market. In fact, I could see a four book series covering all four Succession Wars. Perhaps a couple prequels covering the Reunification War and another covering the SLDF’s destruction of the Rim Worlds Republic and the retaking of Earth would be awesome. I know a lot of books have touched on these events, but no book has covered an entire conflict like the NAIS books.

Also, an Atlas Series covering ALL of the systems mentioned so far in BT, including star types and star count within each system, planet counts, populations, histories icluding first habitation, resources, day light cycles, etc—basically a Wikipedia page for each system. That series of books would make big money.

That's a good question for the next BattleChat. I'll try to remember to ask if I'm able to make it to the next one.

For what it's worth, Herb did state that there were several more Historicals in the pipeline. We got Operation Klondike recently which occurs around 2821. So there is some hope that we will see more Historicals based BattleTechs early timeline.

Thank you for transcribing that whole chat. I wish I could have asked him why CBT has not revisited any of the 1st through 3rd succession wars, basically anything that happened from 2786 to 3025.

Everyone I talk to about Battletech (and I mean everyone who has played and still plays) wants material from those times. He said that sales drive what they print, so I think they are doing the business a disservice by not providing anything for those customers that just want preclan stuff. Just saying…
