I feel your pain. If you haven’t dunked it in the pine-Sol already, try re-applying Dull Cote under better conditions, this can sometime “defrost” the layer underneath. No promises, as this one looks pretty bad, but it can’t hurt to try.

Yeah. I think the Icing idea could work great. It’s the lyrans after all, their home planet is a friggen iceball. (Actually, I think they also own a system named iceball).
